All songs written by Nils Lofgren except Take Me Home (Nils & Cis Rundle) Musicians: Produced by Nils Lofgren Recorded at Darneswood Studio and Sunset Sound Recorders by Billy Brady and Neal Avron. Mastered by John Brittain. Music editors were Danny Garde & Allan K Rosen Review Having spent a lot of time and effort deciding whether to spend £25.00 on the imported version of Everybreath I was astounded to find it on the Internet for seven quid! I have written previously written here that I thought the album was rubbish but I have to eat humble pie ( and not for the first time). It is an album of that grows on you and with time to listen and relish it's virtues are as clear as hell. When it come to Nils Lofgren you should expect the unexpected. This is not an album for the casual Nils fan though but for diehards! As for the film itself............see below Tim Review from an eBay seller: This is the soundtrack to the 1993 film "Every Breath", starring Joanna
Pacula. There are a few instrumentals but mostly this is comprised of songs
written by Nils for the movie, many in a blues or gospel style. Nils handles
some of the lead vocals but shares the singing on others with two very capable
vocalists, Tom Lepson (who generally handles the bluesier numbers) and Bonnie
Sheridan (who really shines on the gospel-flavored material). Nils great guitar
work colors all the selections, regardless of style. It's refreshing to hear
Nils step away from the rock 'n' roll for a change and really tear it up on some
great slow blues, Roy Buchanon-style. And the gospel stuff is great, Bonnie
Sheridan sings the heck out of the songs and it's so unusual to hear such
outstanding guitar work in a gospel context. Standout tracks include "Fallen
Into His Hands", "No Return", "Tryin' Not To Fall", and a lovely duet sung by
Lofgren and Sheridan, "Tender Love". Nils should branch out more often, because
this outstanding album proves him capable of so much more that his signature
Rolling Stones-ish rock. Subject: Every Breath Having listened to the soundtrack of "Every Breath" over the past year or so, I have often wondered what the movie was like. So when I saw it being traded on e-bay, I bought it for a couple of quid. Anyway, the only thing it had going for it was, not surprisingly, the music. Watching the film, I obviously recognised most of the tracks, however, near the end I heard a few bars of one of my all-time favourite Nils' tunes, "Message"! It sounded really different and on the end credits it was listed as "Message II" with Bonnie Sheridan on vocals. How frustrating! It sounded great. Nils, why was it left off the soundtrack? Other tunes credited were "Berry Drive", "Dynamite" "Sad Walk", and "Stalker blues" which appear on the "Tuff Stuff" album....
