Someone once said to me that their girlfriend, newly introduced to Nils'
music, may not be ready for Damaged Goods yet! Can't agree less.
Nils' music has been so diverse over the years that I think you have to take as
much in as possible - you then appreciate what a genius this guy is. Sure
it's different with vocals from a gravel pit and a sound as heavy as my
partner's handbag but it is a truly innovative album. Difficult to pick
out high points but the obvious one is Black Books which led to the
acoustic version used in The Sopranos TV show. Personally I go for Trip
to Mars - it has everything I like about Nils' music. The whole album
is.....
Brilliant.........just go and buy it!
